Wardgate — AI Agent Security Gateway

Core Idea
Wardgate is a security gateway that sits between AI agents and the outside world — isolating credentials for API calls, isolating SSH keys for remote command execution, and gating command execution in remote environments (conclaves). The core principle: give AI agents access to APIs, SSH keys, and shell tools without giving them your credentials or trusting them with direct execution.
Key Features
- Credential Isolation: Agents never see raw API keys or SSH keys; Wardgate proxies requests
- Policy-gated Execution: Remote command execution in isolated “conclaves”
- Reduced Blast Radius: If an agent is compromised or prompt-injected, Wardgate limits damage
- Zero-trust Architecture: Agents don’t need direct credential access
- Go Implementation: Single binary deployment
Why This Matters
As AI agents become more autonomous and gain access to more tools and APIs, security boundaries become critical. Wardgate addresses a specific pain point: how to give agents enough access to be useful without exposing credentials or production systems. This is particularly relevant for agentic workflows where agents interact with multiple external services.
